Henry T. Reath Trophy
July 3rd
Start: 1330 hours
2011 Sailing Instructions & Course Description
The first running of this new annual trophy event occurred in 2007 with 22 boats participating.
This is a 13-mile race around the Cranberry Isles. The race begins in the Western Way, from whence boats head east around Baker’s Island and then back through the Eastern Way to finish at Gilpatricks Cove.
A pursuit race requires that handicaps under PHRF be awarded at the start, with the slowest boats starting first.
Other Information:
The Reath Trophy was given to the Fleet by the Reath family in memory of Henry Reath, a long-time member and supporter of sailing in Northeast Harbor.
This event follows the Fleet’s annual “Opening Picnic,” at 1200 hours.
