A dieing northerly gave way to a seabreeze out in the western way on Sunday. Four races were completed with very tight and tactical racing throughout. Most boats finished within a minute of each other and we had a fast pace to fire another one up right away. The course varied every time to keep things interesting.  The Voodoo team of Dave Folger and Stew Craig have a 6 point lead over the Commie of Vice, David Schoeder, and our SS Director, Bryan Peugh.

The second consecutive Sunday of Luders racing got going with eight boats enjoying tight racing outside of SW Harbor. High repetition, short course racing with WLW courses, drop marks, and leeward gates kept things interesting. The starts were very tight and most all boats crossed the line within 3 seconds of the starting signal on every race. The thermal breeze came on harder as the afternoon got warmer with puffs at about 20 by the final beat of the last race.  Hopefully, some of the sailors will share their perspective and strategies in reply to all on this list. Please come out and join us for some, if not all, of the Sunday afternoon series. Special thanks to Bardy Roberts and Tucker Charles who tended marks in Fleet skiff. Sue and Franny Charles handled things on Shearwater but, the boys did all the anchor pulling.

Luders Racing at the Fleet on Sunday afternoons got kicked off with a gorgeous SW breeze at 10-12 knots from the SSW. Cruising boats went off at 1330 with the Luders racing at 1400. Three races were held with three different courses in the Western Way and extending downwind toward Rice Point. The always dependable duo of Bardy Roberts and Tucker Charles worked the mark boat while Sue and Franny Charles were on Shearwater.
